Tuesday, December 10th, 2013 -- The FEMAP Foundation is pleased to announce a new member to the Board of Directors.
Richard P. Martinez is the Managing Director in the Houston, Texas office of Royal Bank of Canada International Wealth Management. In addition to his management duties, he provides customized international wealth management services and solutions to high-net-worth individuals and families based primarily in Mexico and Central America.
Prior to joining RBC Financial Group, Mr. Martinez spent 25 years with a major U.S. bank. He held numerous positions within the bank before transitioning into the area of international private banking where he focused on the high-net-worth clients from foreign countries. He relocated to Houston from El Paso, Texas where he was responsible for the growth and direction of the international private banking offices in Houston, El Paso and Tucson. In his present position, he works closely with clients and prospects to develop and implement comprehensive wealth management services.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Mr. Martinez graduated from University of Phoenix, in Santa Teresa, New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. During his year’s working in financial services, he also obtained five securities industry licenses. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is active in several community service organizations as well as having served on the boards of Mexican and Hispanic business organizations.
The FEMAP Foundation is a U.S. based public charity, chartered as a Texas nonprofit corporation on July 13, 1992. It is tax exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The FEMAP Foundation was established to provide support programs in our Regions which raise the quality of life of people living in poverty through health care, education, outreach and economic development.
Contributions, funds and grants help FEMAP Foundation continue financing programs and projects that address our bi-national Region’s unique needs and concerns. By connecting Mexico and the United States, the FEMAP Foundation makes evident the goodwill that exists between both countries and peoples.
