Monday, August 4th, 2014 -- The Public Relations Society of America – El Paso Chapter presented two RIO Awards to the FEMAP Foundation in June. The 2013 Annual Report won the “publications/external non-profits” category. The other winning entry was the DECADES/DECADAS video which won under the “non-print media” category. In celebration of FEMAP’s 40th Anniversary, the video presents the milestones of FEMAP’s 40 year history and was first shown at the 2013 fundraiser gala.
The RIO Awards event is organized by Public Relations Association of the Southwest to recognize the creative and effective use of communications tools and breakthrough ideas in public relations. The competition was open to PRSW members and non-members.
Nationwide, PRSA is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. The organization's objectives are to advance the standards of the public relations profession and to provide members with professional development opportunities through continuing education programs, information exchange forums and research projects conducted on the national and local levels.
