El Paso Community Foundation offers more ways to get into the Spirit of Giving

The El Paso Community Foundation’s Spirit of Giving  is branching out — to the Internet, local malls and five GECU/Members Trust Company locations.

The El Paso Community Foundation’s virtual Spirit of Giving tree ( is an easy and anonymous way to give a gift to someone who really needs it. Simply click the tag of the story that moves you and pay for the gift. The El Paso Community Foundation will ensure that it is delivered.

You also can print the tag, purchase the gift, and wrap and deliver it, with the tag, to our office at 333 N. Oregon St. on the 2nd Floor. Our office hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Friday.

The drop-off deadline for gifts is December 18, 2015.

Spirit of Giving trees are up at Cielo Vista Mall, Sunland Park Mall and GECU/Members Trust Company locations at Viscount and Airway, Rojas and Zaragoza, Vista del Sol and Yarbrough, Transmountain and Dyer, and Resler and Helen of Troy.  The trees are adorned with tags that represent the stories of those who have to go without during the holiday season. Pick a tag, buy a gift, wrap it with the tag, and return it to the location where you purchased it.

Since 1989, the El Paso Community Foundation has joined with area nonprofit agencies to identify hundreds of children, elderly and disabled who might not get a gift this Christmas.

The El Paso Community Foundation’s Spirit of Giving is sponsored by Simon Malls, GECU/Members Trust Company, KTSM NewsChannel 9 and iHeartRadio of El Paso.
