Your generous contributions thus far have led us to complete Phases One and Two of the campaign. FEMAP has expanded and remodeled Hospital de la Familia’s Surgical and Obstetric Unit. This increased the number of labor beds provided for expectant mothers along with much needed nursing stations, surgical, and recovery rooms.
This area was important not only for accreditation purposes, but also because a third of babies born in Ciudad Juarez are born at Hospital de la Familia. That is 14 babies a day.

In August 2015, the new school, named after our founder, Guadalupe Arizpe de De la Vega welcomed its first students 650 students are currently enrolled. But more importantly, the new school can accommodate 1,000 students in two shifts and will double the current number of graduates. That’s 300 more people delivered out of poverty and empowered to make a difference for themselves and their families.
By making higher education accessible, the School opens doors of opportunity so people can study and become health care professionals. Armed with a degree, they can find good paying jobs and change the course of their lives and their city.
